Adam is a Co-Founder and General Partner at Terra Nova, a network-driven, early-stage venture capital and research firm. Adam is also the Founder of the Emerging Venture Capitalists Association (EVCA), a nonprofit and the preeminent community for the emerging (pre-partner & junior partner) VC.

Prior to Terra Nova, Adam was an investor at Sierra Ventures where he focused on investments in the enterprise software, healthcare, and blockchain sectors. His investments included Interplay Learning, Hashnode, Loop Health, and Podcastle.

Adam began his venture career with investor roles at Benhamou Global Ventures and Plug and Play Ventures. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Adam is a proud Incline Village resident, where you can often find him hunched over a laptop in the back of Drink Coffee Do Stuff, in search of fresh powder in the Mt. Rose backcountry, or at the lake with his golden retriever, Cooper.

John joined Scale in 2018 and focuses on the firm's investments in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, fintech, and frontier technologies. He was featured on Business Insider's list of up-and-coming financial technology investors and has contributed to the firm's investments in AppOmni, Archipelago, Comet, Spruce, Socure, Scout RFP, Tetrate and Papaya Global (sourced).

Before Scale, John was most recently a Product Manager at Personal Capital where he focused on customer engagement and growth. Previously, he was also a Product Manager at Intuit and launched the first iteration of their QuickBooks Capital lending product, which provided working capital loans to small business owners.

John holds dual degrees in both the business and liberal arts honors programs from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, John enjoys running and playing soccer in Golden Gate Park.

Kartik is an investor at Salesforce Ventures where he focuses on early to late stage enterprise software investments globally.

Prior to SFVC, Kartik was with Industry Ventures where he looked at primary co-investment and secondary investment opportunities in consumer and software companies. Kartik graduated from UC Berkeley having studied Economics, Statistics and Computer Science.

Outside of work, he spends his time sailing and making art.

Kathryn is a vice president at Norwest Venture Partners, where she focuses on consumer and enterprise software companies. To date, she has invested across future of work, food innovation, IoT, EdTech, luxury commerce, and audio. Kathryn has sourced over $60M of investment for Norwest.

Previously, Kathryn worked in business operations at NerdWallet, focused on small business lending. Prior to NerdWallet, she was a strategy consultant at Deloitte, where she specialized in financial services and retail loyalty. Kathryn obtained a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish, financial economics, and corporate strategy from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

While at the GSB, Kathryn led the High Tech Club as co-president. In addition to the EVCA Board, Kathryn serves as co-chair of the Technology Advisory Council for Mission Asset Fund, a leading financial inclusion nonprofit in the Bay Area.

Kevin is an investor at Spectrum Equity in San Francisco, where he sources and evaluates growth-stage investments across software, internet, and information services. Prior to Spectrum, he held roles in venture and growth investing at Signia Venture Partners, The Raine Group, and Emerson Collective. Kevin received his B.S. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

With EVCA, Kevin is a Board Observer and most recently served as Chief of Staff, where he supported EVCA's chapters, industry verticals, and new initiatives, including the inaugural EVCA & SVB Emerging VCs Summit. He was apart of EVCA's first Fellowship cohort in 2020.

Oscar is the co-founder of Remi, a direct-to-consumer sleep and wellness brand based in San Francisco.

Prior to starting Remi, Oscar worked at Sinai Ventures, a $100m Bay Area-based venture fund focused where he focused on early stage consumer investments.

Previously, Oscar was an investor at BMW i Ventures, where he focused on micromobility, autonomous driving, and marketplace investments. Oscar is a graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Samantha Huang serves as Head of Content for the EVCA and is a Principal at BMW i Ventures, where she focuses on investments across AI and big data, autonomous driving, Industry 4.0, sustainability, and the next generation of human experiences.

Samantha previously worked at Robert Bosch Venture Capital and in corporate development at SK Telecom. She also worked as Lead Researcher at the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University on research projects centered on innovation and entrepreneurship.

She holds a J.D. from Berkeley Law School and is a licensed California attorney.
